December 16, 1995 - Operation Joint Endeavour commenced at 1453 hour.

December 20, 1995 - UNSC resolution 1031 was approved, authorizing the establishment of IFOR.

December 22, 1995 - A British transport aircraft was fired upon, when transporting civilians from Tuzla to Sarajevo. Also, a US aircraft transporting cargo was fired upon.

December 25, 1995 - A British Lynx helicopter was fired upon when flying over Bosnian Croat controlled territory near Jajce. The helicopter was not hit.

The Serbs released 131 POWs, the Bosnian Serbs 114.

December 26, 1995 - Bosnian Serb authorities requested IFOR to delay the transfer of authority of Sarajevo to the Bosnian government. The request was denied.

IFOR warned the three parties in Bosnia to stop firing upon NATO aircraft. Since the start of the operation, five aircraft were fired upon.

December 28, 1995 - Deadline: The Serb and Bosnian troops should have withdrawn from the frontier near Sarajevo. This part of the peace agreement was complied with.

December 31, 1995 - The airport of Mostar was reopened after being closing down three years ago.

650 US troops of Task Force Eagle established a 619 m pantoonbridge near Zupanja, allowing the first 400 of 20,000 US troops access to Tuzla.
