Serbia intends to discuss territory swap with Kosovo

Earth Times quoted local dailies in Serbia as saying that Serbia has not given up on the plan to discuss a swap of territory with Kosovo. Serbia's intentions are to swap northern Kosovo (populated mainly by Serbs) for the Presevo Valley, east of Kosovo (populated mainly by Kosovo Albanians).

In return, Serbia could then offer to stop blocking recognition of Kosovo in the UN.

Earth Times rightfully says that this contradicts wishes of most EU and some non EU nations that have already recognized Kosovo and that are against a breakup of Kosovo.

Kosovo has indicated it is not interested in discussing its status.
