Visa requirement lifted for Serbia, Montenegro, and Macedonia

The EU abolished visa requirements for Serbia, Montenegro, and Macedonia. It is regarded as a major milestone for the Balkans on its path to closer ties with the European Union. Visa requirements were implemented when Yugoslavia broke up in 1991.
