Name dispute Macedonia and Greece possibly resolved by December 2, 2009

Novinite.com reported that Macedonia has indicated it is ready to hold direct talks with Greece regarding the long standing name dispute. The prime ministers of both countries have until December 2 to resolve the issue so that the European Commission can be informed of the new name for Macedonia on December 2.
Macedonia could then start EU accession negotiations in April 2010.
