Italian FM: Netherlands may soften stance on Serbia's ICTY cooperation

UN chief prosecutor Serge Brammertz will visit Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia in preparation of a report to the UN Security Council in June.

In an interview with daily Vecernji Novosti Italian foreign minister Franco Frattini hinted that Brammertz's visit could indicate a softening stance of the Netherlands on the issue of Serbia's cooperation with the UN tribunal. He said: "The fact that the Netherlands has agreed Brammertz's visit to Serbia is in itself a good thing, because it suggests that the Netherlands has agreed that the prosecutor can personally assess the situation on the ground."
